is a collection of local merchants, entrepreneurs and artisans, from Miami and the State of Florida, that have been hand selected, for the superior quality of their offering, and their socially conscious message and practices. We believe that the ultimate goal of business should be the maximization of benefit to humanity, rather than the oft-referenced mantra of “maximization of profit to shareholders”.  is a laboratory of creativity and entrepreneurship, where vendors sell their goods and share their stories, through daily talks in our amphitheater. MKT is proud to have Slow Food Miami and The Education Fund as its charity partners.

At , we feature more than 30 local vendors with a social conscience, in the categories of Fashion; Beauty; Health, Wellness & Fitness; Food & Beverage; Floral & Garden; Arts & Crafts; Jewelry; and Charity. Being in a more enlightened world is about leading by example; supporting behaviors that are responsible and actively rejecting those that do not. By rethinking the influences that lead to our purchasing decisions and bringing social responsibility into play, we can support local business making a positive impact in our communities. Money spent locally on local goods produces three to four times the economic benefit of dollars given to large corporations, where the interest is consolidation, thin margins, high volume, lower quality and pushing 80% of their profits into 50 zip codes in the entire US.

If you would like to become a vendor at  , please share your contact details and some information about what you do and how you do it. Slow Food is an idea, a way of living and a way of eating. It is part of a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members in over 150 countries, which links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment. A non-profit, member-supported association, Slow Food was founded in 1989 to counter the rise of fast food and fast life; the disappearance of local food traditions; and people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes, and how our food choices affect the world

The Education Fund’s mission is to maximize every child’s potential and to ensure that each one graduates with every opportunity for success. The Education Fund engages the entire community in making educational excellence a top priority, ensuring that every child learns and succeeds in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
